Thunderbirdで弾かれた

Debian SqueezeでPostfix + Dovecotを使ってメールサーバを構築したところ、ThunderbirdでPOP/IMAPでアクセスを試みるとなぜかサーバーに弾かれるという事が起きた。

ログを見てみるとThunderbirdでAborted login (no auth attempts):と記録されている。Aborted loginとはなにもせずに切断したことらしい。

バージョン

バージョンは下の組み合わせです。

ちなみにtelnetではPOP/IMAP共ログインできた。Thunderbird以外のメールアプリケーションではMacのMail.appとOpera Mailでも問題無くログインできる。

Thunderbirdをダウングレードしてみる

ログメッセージを元に検索してもこれといった解決策が見つからず悩み続けてたけど、メジャーアップデートが続いているThunderbirdを7系から3系へダウングレードして試してみようと思い3.1.15にして試したところログインできるようになった。

Thunderbird7が原因だったのかな。
